Australian business confidence rose
in December to the highest level in seven months after the
central bank made the second of two consecutive rate cuts, a
private survey showed.

The confidence index was 3 last month from 2 in November,
according to a National Australia Bank Ltd. (NAB) survey of about 400
companies from Jan. 9-13 that was released in Sydney today. That
was the highest since May. The business conditions gauge, a
measure of hiring, sales and profits, was unchanged at 1.

The Reserve Bank of Australia reduced the benchmark rate by

Feb. 2 (Bloomberg) — Caesars Entertainment Corp., taken private in 2008 by TPG Capital and Apollo Global Management LLC in the biggest buyout of a casino company, is seeking as much as $18.1 million in an initial public offering next week.

Caesars, based in Las Vegas, plans to sell 1.81 million shares at $8 to $10 apiece on Feb. 6, according to a regulatory filing today and data compiled by Bloomberg. Existing shareholders plan to sell additional Caesars shares after the IPO, the filing shows.
